Never Stop Twirling

Fourteen years ago when my daughter was 3 years old, she took a dance class. She’s been twirling ever since.

In dance school(s), she took ballet, tap, jazz, and hip-hop. Though she resigned from the classes a few years ago, don’t ever doubt that she’s still out there somewhere twirling her beautiful heart out.

You’ve twirled too. I’ve seen you. Maybe you still do, or maybe you haven’t lately. Maybe you can’t remember the last time you twirled. And that’s why I’m writing.

Never let anyone (including yourself) or anything cause you to stop your twirling. Today I challenge you to put on a favorite outfit, make yourself feel as strong and magnetic as you can, put on your favorite music, wear a smile, and twirl! Twirl to your heart’s content!

Once you’re twirling on the inside there is no doubt that you will want to share that joy with others just as my daughter does! She’s always out there brightening others’ lives- raining down kindness on this world, delivering seemingly nonstop random acts of thoughtfulness, love, and joy.

Twirling and the joy you feel from twirling are available to you anywhere, everywhere, anytime, and all the time. It is as simple (not necessarily easy) as redirecting your thoughts and actions to this place. You can also find this joy and much deeper joy in meditation. It might be worth your time to find a short guided meditation on YouTube and test that theory for yourself!

Happy twirling!
